We want to share with you the orthodontic journey of our 11-year-old patient. He is an energetic student who loves to play soccer. He wanted to straighten his teeth, just like what we did to his older siblings.

His parents sought help and were recommended to Central Coast Orthodontics. During his initial examination, it showed that his lower front teeth were crooked. We also explained that he didn’t need to stop playing soccer while undergoing orthodontic treatment. Instead, we advised him to wear a personalised mouthguard every time he plays soccer. 

After having a thorough examination and discussion about his treatment options, we placed metal braces for 18 months to correct his crooked teeth.

After 18 months of orthodontic treatment, he was able to have the straight smile he wanted – just like his older siblings. His crooked lower front teeth were now perfectly aligned, and his canines erupted at their ideal position because of the early treatment. 

He was so delighted to be able to play soccer while having orthodontic treatment.
