Orthodontic Treatment in Kariong

We want to share with you the orthodontic journey of our 14-year-old patient. She is an energetic and super friendly student in Kariong who loves to talk in front of many people despite her crooked teeth. She was referred to us by her general dentist for orthodontic treatment.

During her initial examination, we noticed that her teeth were very crooked because of her small jaw size. They were overlapping and crowded, which posed a bite problem.

After having a thorough examination and discussion about her treatment options, we decided to fix her crooked teeth with braces and an expander. A palatal expander is a device designed to create a space in a child’s mouth by gradually widening the upper jaw.
