Our patient was referred to us by her general dentist because of an orthodontic problem; she has a deep overbite and moderate upper and lower crowding.
An overbite is when the top front teeth expand beyond the bottom front teeth. A minor overbite is a problem that affects a large number of people and typically doesn’t cause issues; however, a more severe overbite can lead to tooth decay, gum disease, and jaw pain.
As for our 13-year-old patient, aside from her overbite, she also had crowded teeth that made her upper canines erupt in the wrong position.

The Result
After 19 months of braces, we were able to move her upper canines into their ideal positions. Her teeth were also straightened, resulting in a better bite and a gorgeous, straight smile. Her packed teeth are no longer an issue. She can now relax more than ever before.
