Dr Alistair King lived his childhood on the beautiful Central Coast, moved away to complete his extensive dentistry studies at Sydney University and graduated with honours. During his final year of dental training, he met fellow student and future wife Ainsley. They moved back to the Central Coast to work as general dentists, and Alistair began his long time association with practitioners Bill Weekes and Peter Woodward (now known as Central Coast Orthodontics). He was then joined in practice by his brother-in-law, Dr Simon Deall who he now works alongside.

His early interest in orthodontics led Alistair to pursue further research and complete a Post-Grad Doctorate through Sydney University. He was awarded Membership into the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the specialist orthodontic stream and his research on root resorption was published in an international journal. He has been appointed a conjoint with the University of Newcastle and honorary affiliation with the University of Sydney due to his regular teaching of future orthodontists and other dental professionals.

Alistair is thrilled to be part of a practice knowing it has built and maintained such a strong reputation in the local community through a commitment to excellence in service and skill. He enjoys his work immensely and gets great satisfaction from the positive changes skilled orthodontists can make to people’s lives. Outside work, his four children keep him busy and he generally enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

He is also a certified member of The Australasian Orthodontic Board, a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association.

After enjoying his time in Melbourne, Simon decided to return to the central coast to enjoy the beautiful coastal lifestyle. Simon thoroughly enjoys his profession and is thrilled to be a part of Central Coast Orthodontics.
