Getting ready to start your Invisalign journey? Let’s walk through what you can expect during your first appointment and how to set yourself up for success.

Hi, I’m Liz, one of the oral health therapists from Central Coast Orthodontics.
After your consultation with our orthodontists, we order your custom aligners from Invisalign, based on the treatment plan as discussed with your Dr.

At your first appointment, we’ll show you how to wear & care for your aligners.
First, we’ll place attachments on some of your teeth. These are small, tooth-coloured shapes made from dental filling material. These attachments enhance the effectiveness of your aligners, ensuring more precise and predictable movement of your teeth for the best possible result.

Placing the attachments is quick and painless. We’ll prepare your teeth, bond the attachments to specific spots, and cure them with a special light to secure them in place.

At the end of your appointment, we’ll give you detailed instructions about how to navigate life with Invisalign! We’ll also discuss when to switch to your next aligners and schedule regular check-ins to monitor your progress. Remember, consistent wear is the key to getting the best results.

One of the best parts of Invisalign is how discreet and convenient it is. You can enjoy your favourite foods without restrictions, maintain your usual oral hygiene routine, and straighten your teeth with minimal disruption to your daily life.

Starting Invisalign is an exciting step toward your dream smile. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask—we’re here to guide you every step of the way!
