For those that aren’t aware of how we are different from your general dentist, we are specialist orthodontists. That means we were initially trained and practised as dentists, and then we undertook an extra three-year clinical doctorate degree to become registered specialist orthodontists. So we are specialised in orthodontic treatment and it’s all we do, day in day out.

Having orthodontic treatment here at Central Coast Orthodontics is also very different to receiving treatment by an online DIY orthodontic provider like Smiledirect for example, who will provide orthodontics through the post, without you having any direct access to an orthodontist to monitor or supervise your treatment. Having your treatment supervised by an orthodontist is important to ensure that your treatment is as safe as possible and that any issues that can arise during treatment are promptly attended to. If you want straight teeth without the inconvenience of having to come and see us frequently, we can provide you with the technology that allows us to monitor your treatment remotely with an App and a scan box that attaches to your smartphone at no additional cost to you.

Our practice is unique in that both Dr King and I are locals, we grew up here on the central coast, we’re an active part of the local community. We’re passionate about this place and we feel so lucky to be living here. So you’re highly likely to bump into us some time at the beach, the shops, weekend sport or elsewhere. That’s why we’re motivated to provide the highest standard of care and get the best possible results for every patient, because we know we’re likely to cross paths with you somewhere in the future and want you to feel like you really had a positive experience with us and the practice.

We’re unique in that we have two locations here on the central coast, Erina and Gosford. Between the two practices, we’re open 5 days per week so you can see us wherever is more convenient for you, and if you have any expected issues with your treatment it can usually be fixed very quickly.
